This stop motion clip is called Improper Disposal. It shows a man who gets rid of a tire in the sea where a duck lives. He throws the tire and there is an effect on the duck because it pollutes where it lives. It sinks but also the sea becomes black because of this pollutant. In another scene, we see a man drive a truck and leave another type of pollution, that of air pollution. We see a lot of pollution build up and it effects mankind.

Traffic certainly creates health and environmental hazards such as noise and air pollution, especially in busy arterial roads where our school is situated. This year, our Ekoskola committee focused on this issue with the aim of preparing a Green School Travel Plan. Research was carried out online, amongst students and by observing and counting the different vehicles passing by the school. As expected, cars were the most commonly used vehicles- 1186 users in 1 hour, followed by large vehicles. The least popular were motorbikes, bicycles and scooters. A short play was written to present the results of this research in a creative way, whilst also encouraging greener traffic solutions such as walking, cycling, more use of public transport and car pooling.
