Kirkop Middle School Eliminates 16,800 Plastic Bottles Per Year

A study by the EkoSkola committee at Kirkop Middle School last year showed that a whopping 16,800 single use plastic bottles were being used each year. This result has convinced the EkoSkola Team to embark on a massive project; a project which is bound to reduce the use of single use plastic bottles to almost a zero….. Plastic contributes to greenhouse gas emissions at every stage of its lifecycle, from its production to its refining and the way it is managed as a waste product.

Every year St. Margaret College Secondary School, Verdala students join Missio Malta in aid of a missionary campaign. This year Missio Malta is inviting Maltese people to contribute to the missionary campaign in aid of Myanmar. St. Margaret College students, together with their teacher Martin Azzopardi sdc, join Missio Malta not only to raise funds in aid of Myanmar, but also to do research about the situation of poverty in Myanmar and offer solutions to the Myanmar government.
