There were once several million green sea turtles worldwide. Today, however, there are only less than 200,000 nesting females alive! Processes and slaughters 15,000 to 20,000 a year continue despite the government set quota of 4,000. Turtle egg gathering and trading is also rampant throughout Indonesia.

Nowadays, I think that many families depend on fish for their food supply but we have come to a point that many types of fish are becoming endangered as for example the Blue Fin Tuna. Many organisations around the world are trying to do their best to advocate about this problem of overfishing, but not every country is actually doing their best.

Through solar cells or photovoltaic cells placed in a grid-like pattern on the surface of the solar panels, they collect sunlight during daylight hours and turn it into electricity. Location Naxxar. Date 10/2/2010. On my Dad’s insistence I was made to go to mass since for us Maltese, the 10th of February is a public holiday- the feast of St.Paul’s shipwreck. I was still a few days from a couple of exams that required alot to study and to be honest, I was quite frustrated since I felt that I was not well prepared although my mind was stuffed with alot of definitions and formulas. These left me no idea on what should I write in order to criticise development and other agents of nature destruction.

The call from all generations was clear: ‘Please help save the world’, as the biggest climate change summit in history COP15, opened in Copenhagen on December 7th 2009. All around the world, global warming has become an international problem which if, all generations won’t act together, will cause disasters and hazards across the world.
Plastic Bags without Handles still Generate Plastic Waste!

After the government budget of 2008-2009 all plastic bags from any type of shop were taxed by 18 Euro cents. Recently some shops started offering the more friendly bio-degradable ones but even these are taxed.

As I reflect back on my cherished experience held during these preceding months I can indeed reckon how valuable it was. During my participation with ‘Din L-Art Ħelwa’, I experienced solid values.

Usually these farmers are poor and use the basic materials to help them with their work. In developed countries, one finds two types of farming practices. When you say that something should be done, and you absolutely say it with determination, and someone asks you to install something in your house you reply with a ' Why me? Why doesn't the government do something about it?' So it means that any action can be taken without disturbing anyone. And it obviously can't happen that way.
