With international legalisation being paramount to the efficacy of environmental conservation, Green Team sought to inform students of COP26, providing a campaign clip to heighten knowledge of the Conference before it was held on Sunday, 31 October.

A group of budding environmentalists at St Nicholas College Secondary School Ħad-Dingli have been investigating the environmental impact of the clothing industry. They were not happy with just highlighting the issue but have also come up with suggestions how changes in our lifestyle can reduce the negative impact on the environment of this industry. Students used recycable trash and collaborated with their families, class teacher and the Senior Leadership Team to use trash recycables to tie up bunches of broad beans from the School Garden which they sowed, watered, weeded, hand-picked, weighed and packed in class. They also sold the produce to the teaching staff. These students are part of the Eko-Skola committee at SEC and they have worked on the Litter Less Campaign project for the scholastic year 2020-201 entitled – Compost It! The students used the food waste generated from the early years classes to create a compost bin at school and not contribute to food waste. This is the story of how this project went down.
