Sea pollution harms the beautiful blue sea around Sliema. We must stop throwing rubbish to protect marine life. The sea around Sliema is full of life, but pollution puts sea creatures and plants in danger. Plastic and waste in the sea around Sliema look awful and is an eyesore to both citizens and tourists who visit Malta during their holiday.

This is a 300 – 400-year-old tree found in Imġiebaħ, Selmun, which was burnt by humans. There should be more laws to punish vandalism.

Coastlines changed as high buildings replaced trees and parks where people enjoy their quality time with their family. As you can see, in the background there are also crains which are damaging our environment too. Natural buffers were removed, increasing erosion, flooding and habitat loss. Construction damages eco systems, blocks views ,alters drainage, raises pollution, heat, and long-term risks from bad weather and sea -level rises globally today.
