Bees are essential pollinators that help many plants grow and reproduce. Bee populations are facing challenges such as habitat loss, climate change, and pesticides. This photo story shows the daily life of bees and the role beekeepers play in supporting and protecting these important insects. By protecting pollinators, we protect biodiversity and the future of our food systems.

P1 Bee at work A bee collects nectar and pollen from a flower. During this process, pollen sticks to the bee’s body and is transferred between plants, allowing them to reproduce.

P2 The beekeeper A beekeeper checks on the hive to monitor the health of the bee colony. Responsible beekeeping helps protect bees from disease and environmental stress.

P3 Helping the colony Extra food is placed near the hive to help the bees when natural nectar sources are limited. This support can be important during colder months or when flowers are scarce
