This photo shows dandelion flowers. Some of the flowers are open, while others are still closed. Dandelions open their bright yellow flowers when there is sunlight and close them when it is darker or cooler. This helps protect the flower and its pollen.
Dandelion flowers are important for insects like bees and butterflies. They provide nectar and pollen, which insects use for food. This helps the insects survive and also helps plants grow because insects carry pollen from flower to flower.
Dandelions are not just weeds, they are very helpful for nature. They support pollinators and help keep ecosystems.
