Although the islands are home to a lot of different animals, insects and plants, they are all facing multiple threats. One of the elements that at times I think about is the state of our environment, especially that of air pollution. I always end up saddened when I think of all the people, like me, that suffer from chronic asthma caused by bad air quality and pollution. Heavy traffic that fills our roads, over construction and the constant felling of trees all around the country only make things worse.

ONE WAY TO REUSE AN OLD KETTLE

This was once a kettle. Now it can’t be used anymore as it is broken. Instead of throwing it away, I decided to put some soil in the kettle and I planted a plant in it. The kettle is now a pot for the plant. The handle is very useful if I want to hang it. This adds extra decor to our roof garden!
