Whilst enjoying some free time at Joanne Gardens-Tarxien, I have come across this tree with a broken branch caused by the gale force winds which hit Malta last February. Fortunately, this tree survived and may the authorities ensure that more trees are planted around the island to make Malta greener and less polluted.

Unfortunately a lot of microplastics are ending up in the oceans. Such microplastics are being eaten up by the marine animals themselves. It is getting worse as time goes by. So are we getting the right nutrients from such fish or are we eating plastic?

The sorry state of some beautiful old houses in Sliema is brought into perspective in this photo. Most houses are not lived in and they serve as rubbish dumps attracting rodents, insects while being an eyesore to the community.
