Air quality and the level of air pollution are important factors and have significant impacts on the health and well-being of humans. Nitrogen dioxide (NO₂) is a pollutant commonly found in the air and is produced by burning fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and gas. High levels of nitrogen dioxide can have negative impacts on human health, including respiratory problems and an increased risk of heart disease. There are often wide variations in local air quality that go undetected and so the Eco-Schools team started to investigate the quality of the air around the school. The aim was to find out the extent of the levels of nitrogen dioxide present in the area around the school. This investigation contributes significantly to the importance of reducing NO₂ emissions for the well-being of citizens and for the environment in general both on a local and on a global level.

If this continues our furry friends won’t be there to make us happy, when we’re in the streets, they won’t be there to walk with us. It is important that we care for our stray cats. They have one world and one life just like you and me. They only want is love, and someone to care for. We must work together to save the animals, we must work together to have a better world, and we must work together to save our home.
